Welterweight Bout: Rory MacDonald (17-2) vs. Tarec Saffiedine (15-3)

Luke Irwin: I have no idea what to expect from Ares anymore. This isn’t me being cheeky, I literally have no clue. But regarding Tarec, he’s one of the most underrated fighters in the world, and RoryMac’s Ali impression won’t work when Tarec is laying into his legs something nasty. If Rory wants a war of attrition, he’s got one. Going with the upset here. Saffiedine via SD.

Ben Kohn: Main event time, and MacDonald is who I’m picking. I think he will lose a couple of rounds possibly but I see him being a bit tentative in the first, trying to fight on the feet a little, until eating some leg kicks. Then he’s going to corner Tarec, grind him on the fence, and take him down to land some strikes. I see Tarec making him work but as of now, Rory’s the second best wrestler he’s ever faced after Woodley and remember what Rory did to Woodley? Rory MacDonald by UD.

Nolan Howell: Rory MacDonald by third-round TKO.

Bantamweight Bout: Bryan Caraway (19-6) vs. Raphael Assuncao (22-4)

Luke Irwin: Caraway gets slept on because of his general antics and his girlfriend, but he’s a very talented fighter. Assuncao will win, but he won’t cruise. Assuncao via UD.

Ben Kohn: I don’t know how the hell people think Caraway can beat Assuncao. I get it, he’s a really good grappler but Assuncao is better! He’s also a far better striker than Caraway could ever hope to be. Seriously, he took TJ Dillishaw to UD and won the fight, Caraway wouldn’t reach the third round. Sorry, they stay styles make fights but these two styles make for a dominating win for Assuncao. Assuncao by UD.

Nolan Howell: Raphael Assuncao by unanimous decision.

Lightweight Bout: Chad Laprise (8-0) vs. Yosdenis Cedeno (10-3)

Luke Irwin: The fact that this is a third-billed fight on a nationally-televised card is disgusting. I don’t trust any man that loses to Ernest Chavez. Laprise via SD.

Ben Kohn: Laprise by UD.

Nolan Howell: Chad Laprise by unanimous decision.

Middleweight Bout: Bruno Santos (14-1) vs. Elias Theodorou (9-0)

Luke Irwin: Theodorou’s hair doesn’t impress me. I’ve liked Santos for years now and I’m going with him. Santos via UD.

Ben Kohn: Ugh Santos is awful but he wins decisions. Bruno Santos by UD.

Nolan Howell: Elias Theodorou by third-round TKO.

Welterweight Bout: Li Jingliang (9-2) vs. Nordine Taleb (9-2)

Luke Irwin: Pretty obvious that they’re giving Jingliang a gimme win here, and I think he’ll do it, but it won’t be pretty. Jingliang via SD.

Ben Kohn: Taleb by UD.

Nolan Howell: Nordine Taleb by second-round TKO.

Bantamweight Bout: Mitch Gagnon (11-2) vs. Roman Salazar (9-2)

Luke Irwin: Gagnon isn’t much, but he is a very dangerous submission fighter that’s won three fights in a row in the UFC, and thats more than Salazar has done. Gagnon via R1 Submission.

Ben Kohn: Roman Salazar has a really cool name but he’s getting submitted and fast. Gagnon by Sub round 1.

Nolan Howell: Mitch Gagnon by second-round TKO.

UFC Fight Night: MacDonald vs. Saffiedine Staff Picks

Lightweight Bout: Anthony Njokuani (16-8) vs. Daron Cruickshank (15-5)

Luke Irwin: Fun match featuring two outstanding strikers. I think this is a technical blast but pretty evenly-matched. Njokuani via SD.

Ben Kohn: Goosebumps…wow this fight has serious FOTN stuff written all over it. Njokuani completely outstruck the man who completely outstruck Daron. That being said, Daron has clearly improved while Anthony seems to have platued or even regressed. I am excite and think that Njokuani’s Thai style will reign supreme in an excellent fight. Anthony Njokuani by UD.

Nolan Howell: Daron Cruickshank by unanimous decision.

Lightweight Bout: Jake Lindsey (9-1) vs. Olivier Aubin-Mercier (4-1)

Luke Irwin: I’m sorry, I’m not taking somebody with five fights in a UFC fight unless his first name is Chris and his last name is Weidman. Lindsey via UD.

Ben Kohn: Lindsey lost by body kick….on the ground…with his opponent on his back…that being said, his opponent is not very good at all imo sooooo Lindsey by UD.

Nolan Howell: Olivier Aubin-Mercier by unanimous decision.

Lightweight Bout: Jason Saggo (10-1) vs. Paul Felder (8-0)

Luke Irwin: Both of these guys are due for great things in the UFC, and they might see each other down the line for some big stakes, but history has always taught me, stick with the Jersey guys. CFFC has bred so many great fighters that I can’t ignore it. Felder via UD.

Ben Kohn: Submission guy vs. facepuncher? Gimme the sub guy please. Saggo by Sub round 2.

Nolan Howell: Jason Saggo by second-round submission.

Flyweight Bout: Chris Kelades (7-1) vs. Patrick Holohan (10-0-1)

Luke Irwin: Holohan is going to run through him. Kelades had his taste of the big leagues and got properly destroyed. Holohan has the training, experience, and skills to destroy him. Holohan via R1 Submission.

Ben Kohn: Holohan has been a nice surprise and I see him controlling this fight and winning handily. Holohan by Sub round 2.

Nolan Howell: Patrick Holohan by first-round submission.

Welterweight Bout: Albert Tumenov (13-2) vs. Matt Dwyer (7-1)

Luke Irwin: This is going to be outstanding. Both of these guys are giant welterweights who destroy most anything they come into contact with. Somebody is going down violently, and it’s just a flip of the coin at this point. Dwyer via R2 TKO.

Ben Kohn: Tumenov isn’t a good grappler but he’s going to be fighting on the feet in this fight, something he’s quite good at at. Tumenov by KO round 1.

Nolan Howell: Albert Tumenov by second-round TKO.

Bantamweight Bout: Jerrod Sanders (14-2) vs. Pedro Munhoz (11-1)

Luke Irwin: Munhoz isn’t much. Sanders is less. Munhoz via UD.

Ben Kohn: Munhoz by being really really good at the grappling thing. Munhoz by Sub round 2.

Nolan Howell: Pedro Munhoz by first-round submission.
