Ukrainian heavyweight kickboxer Sergei Laschenko has reportedly passed away after a shooting last evening in the city of Odessa in the Ukraine. Details are still coming in as to the nature of the shooting.
Laschenko was a veteran of K-1, King of Kings, and SuperKombat amongst others and was in the midst of a promising career in the sport, sporting a record of 33-14 and wins over some of the best heavyweights in the sport. Laschenko is survived by his wife and one-year-old son. Our condolences to the family, friends, and supporters of Sergei Laschenko.
