Warcraft … Thursday, to Distract Us From Percy Harvin News

Frankly, all the news about Percy Harvin the past 24 hours has been a HUGE buzz kill. I’ve had to smoke extra amounts of pot just to get on his normal level now, and I TOTALLY see why being with the Vikings is so depressing for him. I mean, it’s depressing just being a fan! But because of this, we’re not going to beat this dead horse any further and instead bring you an older interview with everyone’s favorite Warcraft player, Chris Kluwe. It is one he did with a blog called “The Pulling Linemen” and he has a couple of nuggets in there.

Go over to their site and read the whole thing (keep an eye on the emoticons! Cool). Otherwise, we have some of our favorite segments highlighted after the jump. And when do we get the balls to ask Kluwe for an interview? This is a Bloguin blog for damn sake! I thought we pulled some weight around here (Note: We do not. At all).

On the talk of bounties and whether or not the Saints targeting Brett Favre screwed the team out of a chance at playing for the Super Bowl:

No, five turnovers and 12 men in the huddle cost us a Super Bowl ring. We had plenty of chances to win that game and just couldn’t get it done; while bounties are reprehensible and I think they were definitely going after Brett, it was still on us to win the game.

*Sigh* It’s pretty upsetting when you begin to realize that even the players on the field knew that we were sucking camel dick through a straw that game, and that the 12 men in the huddle call was probably the worst thing to have happened since a Katy Perry movie (out next week!). The fault for that will always go back to Brad Childress, probably rightfully so, but how could SOMEONE not have spotted that?! Worst, ever. Regardless, it’s a nice showing of maturity to say, “Listen, we screwed ourselves. The Saints played hard, cheated, and we still should have won.” Which is true. I hate that game.

On whether or not he’d enjoy playing a game in London during the NFL’s annual trip over the pond:

I would really enjoy a chance to play in London, I’ve never traveled overseas and it would probably be a pretty fun experience. I could try some fish and chips and possibly have some tea :p

Emoticon! Let me use one of my own: ….. :-O ….. A guy as smart as Kluwe has never been overseas??! I’m trying to figure out if these means he’s never been out of the country, either. Mexico? Canada (Toronto doesn’t count!)? Caribbean? Hawaii even? I would be curious, but also interested, in taking Kluwe around some place. Maybe I could take him and his wife to Paris and act as their own tour guide! I’ve been there twice, Chris, it’s awesome! We can buy pan du chocolates and drink red wine and then visit the country side! It shall be a grand time! … Or I could just give you some ideas of where to go. Either one.

Anyway, head over to the site and read the entire interview. There’s some fun nuggets in there. Maybe the next time we do a Warcraft segment it will be because we email questions back and forth with Kluwe. Will it happen?! … Doubtful! I’d rather he just started leaving comments on the blog.
