WELL, THIS IS AWKWARD.
First, looks like I have to change the blog title, huh? Or can we just call Cordarrelle the second coming of Christ? I don’t know whatever.
Beyond that, the Vikings lost to the Patriots 30-7 in a fairly obvious series of events that we probably should have all known was coming. That’s not to say the Vikings couldn’t have or shouldn’t have beat the Patriots, but seeing people on Twitter at 11:00 AM talking about how the Vikings – 1-0 after beating a horse shit Rams team – were poised for a big break through and to emerge on the scene and become one of the best teams in the league, turn tail and want every single started benched for the appropriate backup was kind of silly. My god, the team just lost the face of the franchise, possibly forever, is still trying to turn around a 5-10-1 team from one year ago, and is facing a Patriots team probably pissed off they lost to a can of tuna. The game wasn’t going to be easy anyway. Oh, also, it’s week two of a 16 week season. Shut the hell up and calm down already.
Sometimes being fans with YOU PEOPLE is exhausting.
I’m also doing something different this week, and possibly forever. I’m breaking up the game review into multiple parts throughout the day, the week, however I feel like, so we can talk about different things at different times. This one is basically the early game review where we have initial reactions and I shout at stuff. Then we’ll move on to your typical crap after this.
