The Vikings (and the NFL in general) have taken a pleasant turn this offseason as they have started putting team videos up on YouTube. This allows for NFL content on YouTube of higher quality, and also for people to share their product. What a novel idea!
If you haven’t, check out the Vikings YouTube channel for some watered down bull shit, probably. I haven’t actually bothered to watch any of these really. Aside from the one I’m posting below, of “Bench Sounds” from 2014.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkc-B-shbdU]Some notes:
– Someone should tell the team that listening to Paul Allen ejaculate onto a microphone doesn’t actually count as “Bench Sounds.”
– Is Corey Wootton the most underrated pick up for the Vikings in 2014? I don’t know if he actually had an impact, nor do I particularly care, but when he has the best celebration dance of the year, as well as the best sideline reaction mid-game, that has to count for something.
– Seriously, who is that guy at 1:24? It looks like Toby Gerhart’s not-quite-as-retarded brother. Zach Line?
– I think I could find it in my heart to like Everson Griffen just a liiiiitttle bit more if all he did on the sidelines was go “AaayyyyyuuuhhhhhhhhhhhHHHH!!” Like, just to everything. Every question. That’s all he can say. That’d be funny.
– Josh Robinson just sits down on the bench through Jarius Wright’s game winning overtime touchdown catch and dash? What is wrong with you?
Anyway. Overall, nothing too exciting here. I’m sure they took all the swears out, which would have made this video a lot more fun. But that’s also why you probably didn’t see any Mike Zimmer. That guy is not allowed to be recorded on the sidelines. Not unless you want to lose draft picks because you scared Roger Goodell’s panties off.
