Harrison Smith honestly a good guy.

I noted that one of my biggest things that I wanted to see get done this off season was to sign Harry “The Hit Man”! Well that got done and you know what I’m happy he got the 5- Year $51.25 M extension.

Key in big signings like this is to stay healthy but I think the Smith will do more for the Vikings now that the contract is signed.

Most of all he gets it. He even had his original pen from his rookie deal to sign his second contract. He has thanked everyone from the top down.

Even though he did not come out and say that yes he is the best safety and should be the highest paid safety in the league it was more of a mutual respect between player and team. I’m sure he will be one of those philanthropic Minnesota Vikings.

Zimmer stated, as much as everybody likes money Zimmer did not think Harrison Smith plays football for the money and thinks Smith plays football because he loves the game. Harrison is an old school guy. Who cannot love a football player like that in the black and blue division?
