According to the arrest report, Jackson pointed a loaded gun at his wife while intoxicated and threatened to kill her. A witness in the house grabbed a hold of Jackson to stop him from shooting his wife.
Jackson, 33, was a second-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 2006. He played four seasons with the Vikings before signing as free agent with the Seattle Seahawks in 2011. Jackson was the Seahawks’ backup quarterback the past three seasons but is currently a free agent.
In March, Seattle head coach Pete Carroll said the team would like to have Jackson back. That seems highly unlikely following his arrest.
