Some of the AAC Football Fever staff members have been hand selected to give their weekly picks for each American Athletic Conference game.
Blake Lovell, Mitch Wilcox, Jay Saunders, John Nestor, Zach Rastall, Al Burke, and Michael Compton will test their knowledge by contesting me each and every week for bragging rights (and maybe a gratifying pat on the back) at the end of the season.
Last week, Mr. Nestor had the only misfire of the group by picking South Florida to upset Cincinnati—though to his credit, he was the only one to step out of the communist comfort zone that was our Week 9 selections.
As for Week 10, we have some intriguing matchups that could have some serious implications on the AAC title race: the Bearcats get a first-hand look at what Halloween is really like with a trip to New Orleans on the Devil’s night (though it’s Halloween every night on Bourbon Street), East Carolina could be on upset alert in Philadelphia, and Houston diverts its attention to the sunshine state with a hit-or-miss South Florida defense.
On to the picks, where again, it’s the great minds (allegedly) that think alike:
