Just as when Charlie Morton was struggling it was important to put every bad start behind him, he’s also got to be able to put the good ones behind him and focus on not falling into whatever traps it was that was getting him lit up like Clark Griswold’s house in the early going of this season. He’s got a decent start and a great start under his belt now in his last two outings, but if he can’t put a third start together those first two are relatively meaningless.
With three losses in four games, the Pirates could really use a good start from Morton tonight. He faces off against Johnny Cueto, who the Pirates worked for 103 pitches and four walks in five innings earlier this month. It’d be nice to see them do that again and maybe puncuate it with some hits this time.

With Garrett Jones as last night’s Cangelosi and Lastings Milledge as the Clemente, there was a massive point loss with nine contestants moving backwards and only brian2 (who nailed Clement as the Cangelosi runner up) and Garrett122 and bwzimmerman (who got Milledge as the Clemente) moving forward. Javier Lopez was Clemente runner-up, and unsurprisingly no one picked him.
