Without much to talk about this afternoon or the time required to write a full post up, let’s try something a little different. How would you currently rank the following three prospects: Bryan Morris, Rudy Owens, and Zach Von Rosenberg? We’ve got one guy that’s dominated for a year and a half now but scouts still have questions about, one guy that the scouts love but has struggled prior to this season, and a highly regarded draft pick that we still don’t know much about.
Currently, I think I’d rank them in the order I have them in above. We’ll have to see what Morris does in Double-A, but he’s been electric this year. Owens has been promoted pretty aggressively this year and hasn’t missed a beat in Altoona, but I’m still not sure he profiles as more than a pitcher like Maholm in the big leagues (which isn’t a bad thing at all, of course). Von Rosenberg, we just have to see more of before we can start making judgments.
