With today as the final week-day of the regular season, I just wanted to make sure to put a post up to remind people that aren’t long-time readers that WHYGAVS definitely does not shut down during the off-season. During the MLB playoffs I do a lot of live chat hosting at FanHouse, but I’m still planning on doing plenty of posting here. On Sunday night or Monday I’ll do the full season in review, then I’ll probably spend most of October taking a closer look at the things that really interested me in 2010, especially the rookies and the minor leagues. As the hot stove heats up, I’ll definitely be here to post about that and start to preview 2011.
I also want to do some more Pirate-history-oriented stuff. I say that every year, but I think I’m more serious about it this year. To be kind of honest, whenever a season like this one ends, I feel like it’s kind of freeing; I don’t have to write about awful losing streaks or ugly games and can focus on more interesting things instead. I can’t promise there won’t be slow points, but I do hope that everyone will stick around during the off-season. Just because the games end doesn’t mean there’s nothing to talk about.
