With there being a little football game tomorrow afternoon, I assume that tonight is probably the last Pirate game that most people will be watching this year. Charlie Morton, who’s actually had a decent September, gets the ball tonight for his final outing in what’s got to be one hell of a frustrating year for him. Hopefully he can end it with a strong start for something to build on over the winter. Pedro Alvarez (.966 OPS in September with six homers after last night) and Andrew McCutchen (.961 OPS in September with a whopping .421 OBP) continue to scorch the ball. They’ll try to keep that trend going against Jorge Sosa tonight.
