Not much going on today, except trying to figure out whether John Gibbons withdrew his name from consideration, or if he told the Royals he’d be back as bench coach because the Pirates told him they were going in another direction. Time for a few links:
Tony Sanchez mimicked Bryce Harper’s swing and hit a home run. He’s still hitting quite well in the AFL, though with only five games under his belt.
John Farrell, who was supposed to one of Neal Huntington’s picks to manage the Pirates after the 2007 season but hasn’t been considered this year, may or may not be the favorite to take over the Blue Jays’ job.
Hmm … now where have I seen THIS idea before?
New poll for the weekend: Which of the five remaining candidates (Banister, Sveum, Macha, Porter, Tosca) would you like to see manage the Pirates in 2011? Or someone else entirely? If it’s someone else, leave it in the comments.
