Apparently the Mets are looking to interview Clint Hurdle sometime in the next few days, which means that the Pirates will apparently not name a manager until next week. Unless they decide that 5:00 on Friday is the ideal time to slip the news out into the public, since whether the reaction is justified or not, hiring Jeff Banister will probably send most people into a frothy rage.
