On top of all of the draft excitement and news of the last two days, the Pirates are also playing the Diamondbacks tonight. It’ll be interesting to see how they build on the excitement of the Phillies series; the Diamondbacks are a team that can club the ball, but don’t have much in the way of pitching.
One of the pitchers that has been pitching well for them is Daniel Hudson, who the Bucs draw tonight. He’s been pretty excellent since late April with the exception of one start in May. He’ll face Kevin Correia, who’s looking to keep his early-season success going and to pick up just his second home win of 2011. First pitch tonight is at 7:05.
