The Pirates need a win to get back to within 3 1/2 games of the red hot Reds. The Pirates are not happy with the high and tight Aroldis Chapman fastball last night that nearly found its way into Andrew McCutchen’s face. James McDonald has struggled mightily since the All-Star break. Mike Leake is pitching for the Reds, and he’s not really having that great of a season. What do all of these things have to do with each other, if anything? I guess we’ll find out at 7:10 tonight.
