From the "news we could have brought you yesterday… if only we knew about it" file….
One of the storylines out of the Rasheed Wallace signing was the words exchanged between him and Kendrick Perkins when the Celtics faced off against the Pistons. Yesterday, Sheed made it clear that that's in the past.
“I’m not going to say I thought he was an (expletive) or nothing like
that because I can’t judge no one like that,” Wallace said. “I know for
me, when I’m on the court I’m totally different than when I’m off of
the court. . . . I didn’t know what to expect from Perk when I first
got here, but just hanging out with him – the whole locker room talk –
Perk’s a cool young (guy).”
Can I just say how much I love the parenthetical replacement phrase. Perk's a cool young (guy). Nice. It works in a lot of situations. Like "Chuck got a paper cut yesterday and he was acting like a (expletive) huge (cat)"
It's good to see Sheed fitting in. It's not like I expected him an Perk to go at it or anything… but its nice to see that camaraderie kicking in so soon.
