Your Morning Dump… Where Monta Ellis was everywhere

Every
morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here…
highlighting the big storyline.  Because there's nothing quite as
satisfying as a good morning dump.

“[Ellis] played great for them," said Celtics coach Doc Rivers. "He
basically saved the game for them at the end of the game with that
play. One misstep and Tony [Allen] would have had a layup. [Ellis] made
a great adjustment to get to the ball and maintain control.”

Ellis connected on 15 of 26 attempts, and added four assists.
Celtics guard Ray Allen admitted there was little the Green could do to
slow him.

“We started out putting one-and-a-half guys on him to start the
game, which turned into two guys guarding him and that didn’t work,"
said Allen. "By that time it was too late. He basically had his way
with us tonight."

ESPN Boston: Ellis' biggest play came away from the basket

The guy played 48 minutes and the play of the night came in the last few seconds of that stretch.  Mona tracked down a long lob pass (pictured, above) like Randy Moss drifting under a Tom Brady bomb.  He sucked that in with one hand, controlled it, stayed in bounds, and then nailed the two free throws to seal the game.

Coming up: Page 2… where Glen Davis might be out for a while

Glen "Big Baby" Davis left the arena on crutches and told reporters
he has a sprained right ankle. He was wearing a protective boot and
said he couldn't walk without aid. He could be out for an extended
period. He didn't sound positive. X-rays were negative.

Davis sprained the ankle in an ugly collision with Golden State's
rugged Rony Turiaf, in which Davis was called for the offensive foul.
Turiaf landed awkwardly and fell on Davis' ankle.

"I sprained the ankle before (as in last season), so hopefully I'll
be back soon," he said. "I can't walk. If I can't walk, I can't run."

Celtics injury updates: Davis could be out a while

Welcome back from your thumb injury… now you can use that hand to get around on your crutches.

Rondo, meanwhile, isn't expected to miss any time because of his sore hamstring.
