Greg Oden confirmed that the nude pics of him being posted on sleazy blogs all over the internet are indeed real… and he's really sorry.
First I would like to apologize to everybody in Portland, the fans, the
organization. It's very embarrassing. It was something that happened
over a year and a half ago. It was an incident that happened over a
year and a half ago. It was taken over a year and a half ago, I'm very
sorry and I'm definitely embarrassed for my family.
The pictures were taken for a girlfriend about a year and a half ago. For some reason, she felt the need to screw him over. But what's done is done. No one really got hurt here. Yes, Greg will be the butt of jokes for a while… but it's not a big deal in the end.
Ok… so that's the "They're real" part of the headline.

Let's flip this around for a moment.
Pick a female athlete. Let's say she took topless photos for a boyfriend that got leaked. What would happen at the news conference where she admitted to the embarrassing photos if a male reporter asked "why are you embarrassed? A lot of people are impressed."
If you said that reporter would be put through a very public ringer… derided as a sexist… and possibly lose his job… then you'd be right.
Just sayin'.
