Great effort and heart by our boys tonight as the Cougs fell to the Pac-10 Champion Washington Huskies.
Both teams played well and both teams were very well coached.
The reason why we lost the game tonight was Klay Thompson’s foul trouble, and within, Tony’s decision to have him guard Thomas to start the second half with two fouls. Then, he got his fourth with about 10:00 left on what I thought was a fould on Nick. While we played very well in his stead, we simply cannot overcome what he provides on offense against such a good team on their court.
Meanwhile, I would hope that you all would NOT rip Nick’s performance in the game. I thought Nick did a great job defensively, handled the pressure well, and was assertive when he needed to be offensively. Simply put, he gave us the best that we can expect out of that position.
Now, lets hope we can get 7th, beat Oregon, and match up for another go with UCLA.
