Sneak-a-Peek at WSU QB Future?

Happy Tuesday Cougs.  Now, obviously with the season now done, the news is going to slow down quite a bit.  Unless something breaks within the team, such as a tweak or two to the coaching staff or some recruiting news, things are going to slow down.  Hey, when you have no postseason bowl to look forward to, this is what we’re left with, you know?  We should have something more on ’09 in the coming days, but for now, we move on.

And speaking of moving on, did you all see that Ferris is in the 4A state title game this Saturday?  That’s good news for Cougs, as WSU commit Connor Halliday will show his skills to the FSN TV audience (Saturday night, 7:30 PM).  What’s cool is that he’ll be taking on Skyline, and none other than Jake Heaps, the greatest QB recruit in Washington State history…..until he committed to BYU.  Suddenly he’s not that great, and “they” wanted Nick Montana all along…..despite Hugh Breedlove Millen calling Heaps the most important recruit in UW history, and comparing him to a slightly bigger version of Drew Brees.  That was all before the BYU commit, and he’s CLEARLY not that good now.

Anywho, it might be fun to watch Halliday and Heaps light up the Tacoma Dome Saturday night.  It’s a rematch of a semifinal game last year, where Skyline beat Ferris. Halliday has been on fire of late, and in their last game vs. Skyview, he threw four TD passes as the Saxons advanced, 46-41.  Should be fun to hopefully see a sneak peek at the future!  And, at least he can act…sort of.

Moving on, WAY off-topic but have you seen the Grady Sizemore pics?!?  The kid from Mill Creek/Everett, now a superstar centerfielder for Cleveland (and former UW QB commit) has been, uh, taking some pictures of himself for “private” viewing. 

We won’t embed them here, but here’s a link if you so desire.  Let’s just say he looks like a cross between a men’s fitness model and a gay porn star, if you’re into that sort of thing.  Weird.  I think GradysLadies.com may have to shut down and declare a national holiday after seeing those things.  In reality, he was sending them to his Playboy playmate girlfriend for her enjoyment, and they’ve been unfortunately hacked/stolen from her e-mail.  Note – they are a little racy, so, while not fully nude, you may want to avoid opening them at work.
