Of the three, at least Eppele has his health! He will move on to CFL glory in the spring, and we wish him luck there. He’s actually well-regarded in the Canadian football world, but it’s too bad it didn’t really work out in Pullman.
But very sad about Eric Block. A great kid and a pretty good safety who can deliver a lick. Remember the hit vs. Stanford? Check it out at the 1:02 mark of the clip:

And too bad about Kevin Freitag, who has shown some promise in his time, but missed most of the year with a toe injury. I guess it isn’t officially over yet for Freitag, but it looks pretty grim.
FINALLY, in the tail-end of the story from Withers, there’s this:
On the topic of staff stability, Wulff wasn’t definitive, saying, “I’m satisfied [with its performance] but at the same time, we’re still getting all our ducks in a row. I’ve got a lot of things to get accomplished in the next week or two before I would make any official change or anything of that nature.”
What does that mean? Maybe an assistant or two could be reassigned? Could a new one be added to the mix, maybe a familiar face at that? Not to rumor-monger but we’re like anyone else, and there’s things here and there that are floating around. I’m sure you’ve heard some of the chatter, but it’s all unconfirmed right now. We’ll see what comes out in the days ahead.
All for now. GO COUGS!
