First, some housekeeping/business to get to – we are on THE TWITTER now! I know, right? Our Twitter account is @WazzuFBBlog, so check it out if you want.
I guess we are Mrs. Last to the party on this one, but we figured it was time to join in. You can see our “tweets” to the far right, feed-style, and things should appear there as we post stuff to our Twitter account. We’ll use it to give you news and updates for the site, you know, stuff like that, similar to how we use Facebook. No, we won’t tweet about what we had for lunch or that we are headed to the grocery store. Maybe if our names were P-Diddy or Leo DiCaprio or Miley Cyrus, someone really cool, you might actually care about the mundane stuff?
Moving on, a scrimmage is set for this morning over in sunny Pullman. There should be some recaps later, so we’ll link to them as they are made available. We may have a first-hand account to pass on as well, so, stay tuned there.
Some other stuff floating out there:
Cougcenter linked to this article on Bill Moos from the Daily Evergreen, and it’s a really good look at how things might be different under the new A.D. There is a lot to take from the article, but one thing is clear – it’s definitely a new attitude with Mr. Moos:
“We don’t play second field to anybody,” he said. “We’ve got so many things that are top notch and first rate, and it’s time that we dwell on those and put to rest, finally and forever, the underdog philosophy. We aren’t going to Coug it anymore. We’re going to Cougar it.”
Cool.
Cougfan sez RELAX on the hoop defections already! Geez. The defections are part of the transition, and it happens with almost every team in the country that flips head coaches. Especially one as drastic as going from Tony Bennett to Ken Bone.
That’s about it for now. Look for some stuff on the scrimmage later today. Enjoy your weekend, and GO COUGS!
