Update on LeAndre Daniels, Plus More Oregon-WSU Highlights

So the FSN weekly Coug show ran on Wednesday night, and we have ripped some highlights for your pleasure.  Obviously some good in-game highlights, plus the usual sideline stuff, as always FSN does a great job putting these things together on a weekly basis.  But also part of this week’s show was a great segment as an update to LeAndre Daniels, the young safety who saw his playing career come to an end after he suffered the neck fracture this fall.

It goes without saying, I guess….but we’ll say it anyway –  it’s incredibly sad that he’s had his playing career taken away like that.  Once again we are reminded of how fast-n-fleeting it can be, for football players of all ages.  One minute you are flying around the field and making plays as the starting safety on a Pac-10 football team, the next you are wearing a halo for several months, and you’ll never play another down of the game you love so much.  Just like that.

But clearly Daniels isn’t sitting around feeling sorry for himself!  That’s the best part of the video, in that he is upbeat and grateful that he’s walking and talking.  It could have been so much worse, yet he very likely has a normal life ahead of him.  I know Cougs everywhere are big fans of LeAndre, and we wish him nothing but the best!

Check out the video after the read more.  And don’t forget to watch it in “stunning” 480p!…
