If you thought Andrew Peters career in Buffalo was on its last leg, well the enforcer just got hit with an avalanche. The Sabres inked former Colorado Avalanche forward/center Cody McCormick to a one-year deal. The 26-year old is a tough guy who knows how to throw down. McCormick has 22 fighting majors in his career to go along with 250 penalty minutes. The enforcer’s 2008 season was his best scoring output, scoring 1 goal and 10 assists in 55 games. Peters has only played in 72 games in the last 2 years, mostly due to being a healthy scratch. Will McCormick help the Sabres win more games? No, but he will be an upgrade to Peters who only has 7 points for his NHL career.
