Well you can count out Terrell Owens inviting Jim Rome to a viewing party of the T.O. Show. Since the premiere of the show, Rome has took a number of shots at the content and ratings of the show, and Owens isn’t taken it lying down. After receiving the news that the T.O. Show ranked number 487 in the weekly cable ratings (get the Emmy shined for that), Owens Tweeted the following:
“This is 4 all the haters tht listened 2 jimmy romeo last week talk about show. check this link out! (ratings for the show)Trust me people, i’m nt pissed @ jimmy romeo! Just dn’t the LIES he & espn like 2 tell & everybody listens & believes it, tht’s all!”
Last Week, Owens added that the reason why Rome (or Romeo) is so negative towards him is because of not wanting to appear on Rome’s show. It makes since considering Rome has never truly bad mouthed Chad Johnson’s antics to the extent of Owens, because he’s been a regular on the show. I’ve also heard the rumor that Rome has the same situation with Kobe Bryant for not appearing on his shows. The lesson learned in all this is whenever a commentator buries an athlete, there’s more to it than just the on the field stuff.
