Runyan on way to Buffalo for workout

Multiple reports believe free agent Jon Runyan will work out in Buffalo Friday. The offensive tackle met with his former team, the Eagles today. Runyan has been a starting lineman since 1996. For the last nine years he’s been Philadelphia’s right tackle. During that stretch he never missed a game. His dependability is in question though. Runyan had microfracture surgery this off-season. He was just recently cleared for contact drills.

Mind of Joe
Talk about putting a band-aid on a gun shot wound. Look, Runyan has been in the league since 1996 and to say he’s in the twilight of his career would be more like saying he’s in an eclipse. Not to mention the term “microfracture” and mid 30’s doesn’t bold well. The Bills have gone full blown on rebuilding the line, unless the plan is to use Runyan as a reserve, the best bet is to live with baptism by fire with their young guys.
