Had you asked me who would of won this game a month ago, I would of said the Bills by a nose. And even though the Bills have looked better in their first 2 games than I thought they would be, the Saints have blown the lid off expectations.
The crazy thing about the Saints is their skill position players for the most part aren’t really big names. Jeremy Shockey is a hasbeen, Marques Colston seems to get injured a lot, and Reggie Bush just bangs that girl with the booty and breaks off a nice run once in a blue moon. And to top it off, injuries have riddled the trio. Which makes Drew Brees development into a top flight QB even more impressive. Makes me think back to when Brees was a free agent and the Bills had JP Losman. He could of been had by any of the other 31 teams if they wanted to pony up the money for him.
Brees is the entire Saints offense. He’s proven it since he came to New Orleans in 2006. I Wonder how he would be if he played with Randy Moss and Wes Welker? The Bills defense just doesn’t match up well against the Saints. Brees loves using the middle of the field, especially the tight end, whom the Bills have always had trouble defending. The Saints offense doesn’t make mistakes, which doesn’t bold well for the Bills defense because they have a hard enough time forcing mistakes.
The Bills I think will keep it close for the first half, but Brees is a master adjuster to defenses after the half. The Saints have scored 31, 17, 21, 14, 17, 13, and 27 points in the second halves of their last 7 games dating back to last year. Saints blow it open in the second half and send the Bills to their second loss of the year.
