Mike: Bills, 34-31. Dallas is the only team to have beaten the 7-1 49ers, yet found a way to get blown out by an underachieving Eagles team and blew big leads against the Jets and Lions. My point is this: the Jets may have shown the world a thing or two about how to stop the Bills offense last week, but I’m not sure the Cowboys can capitalize on that given that you never know which Cowboys team will show up from week to week. I’m picking Buffalo to win solely because they have to; a loss puts the Bills at 5-4 with two more road game in a row, and it’s easy to see how things might start to spiral out of control.
Joe: Bills, 34-31: I think this will be a very high scoring game. I’m not buying Rob Ryan’s defense in Dallas, and spare me the Rex and Rob late night calls about the Bills offense. Couldn’t Chan call Wade Phillips for a courtesy revenge call? Oh, right. Wade hates the Bills. Wait. Dave Wannstedt use to coach down there, maybe he knows someone still in Dallas! Anyways, the Cowboys have shut down the likes of Seattle and St. Louis, but when they go up against legit offenses, like Detroit and Philadelphia, they get burned. I think the Bills need to attack the middle of Dallas’ defense. Their inside linebackers aren’t athletic enough and their safeties aren’t much to be desired on the coverage front. As for Fred Jackson’s impact, he needs to be a big part of the gameplan. Speaking to the boys over at Cowboys nation this week, they mentioned that Dallas is susceptible against the stretch play. Let’s stretch it out. I’ve gone over the issues for the Bills defense and they just aren’t very good. The Cowboys will be licking their chops with the weapons they have. Look for Jason Witten to have a huge game. Interesting stat to through out there, Ryan Fitzpatrick hasn’t lost back-to-back starts in almost a year (Steelers and Vikings on Nov. 28th and Dec. 4th). I think it will boil down to the secondaries for both teams. I don’t think much of the defensive backs for Dallas and I think when the Bills spread the field, it will expose a lot of match-ups.
Chris: Cowboys, 24-21: The Bills need this game against the Cowboys, badly. They were exposed against the Jets in the second half last week and their offense never got in sync. The Cowboys will be able to pressure Fitzpatrick and their defensive front will do enough to limit Fred Jackson. I’m not totally sold on Dallas’ offense, that certainly is turnover prone, but the home field advantage in JerryLand will be the deciding factor.
Mark: Bills, 31-17: Going completely with my heart on this one. Last week’s loss to the Jets was alarming but my hope is that the young Bills will rebound and in a strong fashion. But I realize on the road against this Dallas team, that while not great is still decent, will be difficult. But it’s a huge statement game for the team and I will trust that they will get the job done.
Brandon: Bills, 31-27: I’m starting to lean towards the Bills more and more when it comes to this things. That means they’ve begun to get me to start Bill-eiving, which can either be a good thing, or a very, very bad thing. This will be a much tougher game than I think some Bills fans think. Two weeks ago Dallas was torn apart by the same Eagles team that the Bills beat earlier in the season, but the Eagles have improved since that meeting. This week it will come down to whether or not the Bills defense can stop the Cowboys’ offense. Dallas’ defense is much better than that of the Bills. Fitzpatrick will face immense amounts of pressure throughout the game, so getting Freddy Jackson going early, something the Bills failed to do last week, will certainly help. In my mind, the difference will be the injury to Miles Austin as the Cowboys will be slightly shorthanded on offense. For the second week in a row I think Jackson will be the catalyst to the Bills offensive success, the question is whether Gailey will utilize that as a strength. Fitz will struggle, but turnover-prone Romo will hand over a few key interceptions to the Bills. It might be wishful thinking, but the Bills could really use the ‘W’ here with the Pats and Jets squaring off this week as well.
Shelby: Bills, 27-24: I hope Fitz gets his head in the game this week. Last week was pretty brutal, I thought I was watching Edwards make passes again for a short while there. Maybe the defense can do well against Romo too. Bills in a close one the entire way. Good way to start off this three game road trip.
