Am I still smiling? YUP.
Focus.
After grabbing a developmental unicorn QB with the 139th pick, the Bills with the 156th pick in the 2016 NFL draft took Jonathan Williams, RB Arkansas. With the departure of Mario in the pre-free agency period, the Bills were short a Williams – so our long national nightmare is over.
The 6′ 225 pound former razorback runner missed all of the season with a foot injury, so that will bear watching. But adding him for special teams and depth isn’t a bad thing – remember the 4 week period where Buffalo had nothing at RB? I do. And prior to the injury, despite sharing the load he amassed 1,100+ yards and 12 touchdowns. Giggity.
What’s Next?
The Bills will be picking twice in the sixth round – at 192 and 218.
Previous Picks:
Round 1 – Shaq Lawson, Edge Clemson
Round 2 – Reggie Ragland, LB ‘Bama
Round 3 – Adolphus Washington, DL Ohio State
Round 4 – Cardale Jones, QB Ohio State
