7/10 Recap: Blue Jays 5 – Indians 4

Player of the Game

Feathers Up

Milestone Alert: Justin Masterson placed himself a little higher in Indians history today, breaking into the top 50 Indians pitchers as far as innings pitched is concerned. He has now thrown 795.0 innings as an Indian, just passing Allie Reynolds who was the old number 50. Innings pitched should not be underrated as a stat as it shows that a pitcher was good enough to stay in the rotation for a long time. The top three Indians in innings pitched have all had their numbers retired and five of the top seven are in the Hall of Fame.

Michael Bourn performed well offensively, with 3 singles, 2 runs scored, and his 9th stolen base of the year.

After falling behind in th top of the 9th, the 2-out Indians offense continued to prevail to add 2 runs in the bottom of the inning.

Feathers Down

It was Michael Bourn's fielding error in the 9th inning that was probable cause for the Indians loss tonight. The combination of a struggling Indians bullpen along with a few defensive mishaps late in the game allowed the Blue Jays to take the game.

Final Score: Cleveland Indians 4 – Toronto Blue Jays 5
