The regular season has come to a close, but that doesn’t mean we’ll be taking a break here at BurningRiverBaseball.com, although things will change a little. We will still bring you analysis of everything of importance to the Indians including possible signings, trades, roster moves, the rule five draft and anything else that could come up until next Spring. Because there is usually little of this to talk about, however, we’ll have a few different things for you as well. Starting out, there will be a few different looks at the 2014 season, including the current roster’s affect on the record books as well as the top ten offensive and defensive plays. We will also recap our illustrious predictions about this season and see how accurate each of us really were.
In addition to those things in the short term, we will be bringing you at least one new article every single day throughout the off-season, so make sure to keep coming back daily to see what’s happening. A few things that will continue from last off-season will be All-Time Indians bios and Top Ten Lists. We have already posted over 125 separate mini biographies which came be seen using the tab on the top of the page with the same name. A few Indians that are scheduled to be shown this year include David Justice, Graig Nettles, Jack O’Connor along with many others. While some players will be known by many fans, there are others that have been almost completely forgotten and this is a large part of the reason for compiling these bios in the same place.
As for the top ten lists, last season we noted the top ten Spiders, Buckeyes, managers and announcers. This year we’ll be expanding this to look at the top Indians geographically as well as the top parts of a team, such as the best outfield, starting rotation and batteries in Tribe history. Finally, there will be a few story based top tens, like the greatest heroes, villains and tragedies in Cleveland baseball.
All this, along with the continuation of the newly formed Burning River Book Club, new episodes of Burning River Radio and our regular analysis and Burning River Baseball will bring you enough Indians to get you through the long off-season.
