Many Nations, One Tribe

Most people know that the Cleveland Indians have been at the forefront of breaking barriers, especially when they added the first black American League baseball player to their roster in 1947. In addition to this, it was the Indians who brought the first Vietnamese, Swiss and Indonesian players into Major League baseball as well as players from 23 separate countries. Below, in slide show form, are the first and the best players to participate with a Cleveland baseball team. Since there was baseball in Cleveland before the Indians, if the first (or only) player from a nation was a member of the Blues or Spiders, that will be noted.
