New Cardinals Player Has A Cooking Blog & YouTube Channel

The Cardinals made a move on Thursday to acquire IF Ty Kelly from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for RHP Sam Gaviglio. Kelly was also added to the Cardinals 40-man roster.

Finally. A Kelly is back in St. Louis. Cardinal fans love Kelly’s.

The trade in and of itself isn’t huge news. Kelly looks like a nice player. He batted .263 with 15 home runs and a team-high 80 RBIs in 134 games with Triple-A Tacoma this past season for the Mariners. He may or may not have a shot a bench role in STL for the ’15 season.

But…

He’s got a cooking blog. And a YouTube Channel. (Also, he wears #69, for the crowd that enjoys that sort of thing.)

Let’s explore.

Not to shabby. Don’t think Sublime has found their next Bradley Nowell, but it’s more than I can do on the axe. Which is nothing.

You can check out many other covers here: LINK HERE

Ahh, but you thought that was it? NOOOOOOO. Our new boy is a trucking renaissance man. He’s also started a blog called ‘Major League Appetite on a Minor League $alary‘.

A sampling of the fare (fair?):

  • Spinach Mozzarella Stuffed Creole Chicken & Balsamic Glazed Asparagus
  • Teriyaki Chicken Spinach Salad
  • World Series Tacos and Queso Dip
  • Le Omelet de TK

Omelets? He’ll fit right in with the Cardinals… although, 35 bucks might be a little too rich for the core audience of this blog.

Will ‘TK’ make push the Cardinals to another World Series win? Let’s hope so. Will it be entertaining getting to know this utility man/cook/YouTuber/crooner?

Damn straight.
