Joe Strauss, Post-Dispatch columnist, was on CBS Sports Radio 920 in St. Louis on Tuesday and made some interesting comments on Jaime Garcia:
… Jaime Garcia isn’t ready to pitch. My understanding is we are very unlikely to see Jaime in St. Louis in the month of April and there are various reasons for that.
Also:
In the last 24 hours I’ve heard stuff that suggests that Jaime had as heavy a hand in his situation as the team. And that this may be a little bit longer term issue than perhaps we’ve been led to believe. And again, is this the same old Jaime? I don’t know. I’m not down there. But I think a lot people, are again, are frustrated by the situation.

Looks like, per usual, the “minor setback” that was reported over the weekend is starting to metastasize into something a little more problematic.
Then again, Mr. Strauss hasn’t been shy about stirring things up in the Twitter era. Further, the above quotes are heavy in conjecture, but light in tangibles and sourcing.
Bottom line?
Hope Jaime gets healthy and starts some games at the beginning of ’15 to either showcase him for a trade or actually help the Cardinals rotation.
