The Cardinals have been teasing the 30 games over .500 mark for a couple of weeks now, but finally got there with a 3-0 win over the Reds Thursday afternoon.
The Cardinals are now 30 games over .500! And with a win tomorrow, they'll reach the 70-wins mark heading into the weekend! #STLCards

Next stop, +35.
And with the Brewers on tap for 3, the Cardinals can do some more work towards locking up the best record in the National League over the weekend.
With 54 games left, if the Cardinals play exactly .500 ball, they’ll finish with a 96-66 record. According to MLB playoff probability projections, they’ve got a 99.6% chance of making the playoffs and an 88.7% chance of winning the NL Central.
I missed this stat earlier, but if you’re thinking about bitching a little about the Cardinals, maybe about Rosenthal’s shaky save or something, remember this:
Cards finish July with 15-12 record, 19th consecutive month at .500 or better. Last losing month was June 2012. #STLCards

They’re only 3-2 in August, but I think they’ll get there to make it 20.
It’s good to be a member of Cardinals Nation today, friends.
