Auburn has picked up its 13th verbal for the 2011 season. South Carolina defensive end Gimel President. President, 6’3″ 240, chose the Tigers over more than a dozen others. With a 40 best of 4.5 President has tremendous potential as a speed rusher. President is the 2nd defensive lineman in the class, joining defensive tackle Darius Philon.
A pair of defensive lineman are still atop Auburn’s wish list. Defensive tackle Tyler Nero from Atmore and JUCO defensive end Denico Autry from Mississippi. Elite defensive tackle prospect Justin Shanks shocked both Auburn and Alabama by committing to Florida State. Expect both the Tide and the Tigers to continue persuit of Shanks.
