Carrollton, Ga., defensive back Jonathan Jones is Auburn‘s 14th verbal for the 2012 class and the second cornerback. The 5-10, 172-pound cornerback is rated a three-star athlete by most national recruiting servcies.
Jones joins fellow Georgian Josh Hosley of Creekside-Fairburn as the Tigers look to add three or four DBs in the 2012 class. Auburn remains in pursuit of corner Geno Smith of St. Pius Catholic-Atlanta, who committed to Alabama on Wednesday.
Jones, who is rated the No. 38 cornerback in the nation by Scout.com, picked Auburn over Boston College, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Stanford, Texas Tech and Wake Forest
