Dropped Out: Southern Miss, FSU
Also Receiving Votes: West Virginia, BYU, Auburn
It was a crazy weekend of college football as 4 of the top 7 teams lost. It was pretty easy to pick the Top 3 as they kind of feel into place. As far as the #4 team? He have three voters and all three voters picked a different team (Virginia Tech, Stanford and Oklahoma State). Two voters had Virginia Tech at #5 and one had Oklahoma State. There were three different choices for #6. As you can see, it was quite difficult to put together a ballot this week.
The top riser in the poll was USC as they rose 7 spots. Then it was Virginia Tech who basically just rose up because everyone in front of them fell. Wisconsin, Michigan, Baylor and Virginia (making it’s debut) all moved up four spots. In terms of falling the biggest was Clemson. Some teams didn’t fall that much because of how they lost but Clemson just got steamrolled and all 3 voters dropped them like a rock as they fell 13 spots. Nebraska was the next biggest faller as they fell 8 spots after their loss to Michigan. Oregon and Oklahoma shared the third biggest fall as they both fell 4 spots after losing close games.
