Despite the fact that two 7-5 teams are playing each other, this game is very intriguing. You have a West Virginia squad that spurned the Big East in favor of the Big 12 playing against a Syracuse team that is a member of the Big East but will be joining the ACC very soon. Add to that the fact that Syracuse absolutely destroyed the Mountaineers last season.
This season, the Mountaineers started on top of the world as they won their first five and Geno Smith was everybody's All-American. Fast forward five games and the Mountaineers sat at 5-5 facing the realities of life in the Big 12.
The season for the Orange started off the opposite way that the Mountaineers' did. They started 0-2 and only won 2 of their first six but rebounded nicely to win five of their last six and their last three games including BCS bowl bound Louisville.
Last year, the Orange bullied the Mountaineers as they ran for 194 yards and dominated time of possession. Syracuse has won the last two games they've played against WVU. Can they make it three?
West Virginia 35 Syracuse 32
