Picking this game is really a no win situation. On one hand you have a Mississippi State team that is a paper tiger. They went 0-3 against top 25 opponents with their closest game being a 20 point loss and their best win is against either Arkansas or Tennessee. On the other hand, you have Northwestern. The Wildcats have lost their last nine bowl games and haven't won one since 1948.
As you can see, it's tough to pull the trigger on either one of these teams. Mississippi State comes into the bowl losing four of their last five. I believe they will be motivated to get a big win but I'm just not sure how good they are. The Wildcats best wins came early in the season against Syracuse and Vandy and then they beat Michigan State late. I think Dan Mullen's team is going to have trouble containing Kain Colter and Venric Mark and I think that the Wildcats will pull this one out and the lunatic fringe of the B1G will celebrate this victory like their is no tomorrow.
