Ross: aka, the Hangover Bowl. Georgia lost a brutal heartbreaker of an SEC Championship Game, coming achingly close to playing for a national championship. Conversely, Nebraska got run off the field (almost literally) by Wisconsin in a stunning 70-31 blowout in the Big Ten Championship Game. One of the keys for this game should be how well both teams are able to shake off that disappointment and rebound in this game. The glaring weakness in this game is, of course, the Nebraska run defense. It was awful in all three of their losses this season. They gave up well over 300 yards on the ground to both UCLA and Ohio State and a mind-blowing 500+ yards to Wisconsin in their last effort. Georgia doesn't have a knock-your-socks off run offense (184 ypg, 42nd nationally), but the dynamic duo of Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall (almost 2000 yards, 24 TDs) certainly has the talent to gash the Nebraska defense. On the flipside, Georgia's run defense isn't so hot, either (178 ypg, 78th nationally), and they're facing a Nebraska rushing attack that averaged 255 ypg (8th nationally). There should be a whole lot of running in this game.  Nebraska does have the top-ranked pass defense in the nation (148 ypg), but Georgia wasn't too far behind (174 ypg, 6th nationally) and if it comes down to throwing the ball, Georgia will probably be a lot more confident in Aaron Murray at QB than Nebraska will in Taylor Martinez. I suspect the Georgia defense will force Martinez into several costly errors.

Kevin: The big storylines coming into this game are Georgia's NT John Jenkins being academically ineligible and Taylor Martinez talking down the Georgia defense. From a talent standpoint, Georgia doesn't lose much, if anything, going from John Jenkins to Kwame Geathers but their is a drop off when you get to the third string. If Nebraska can establish the run game with Rex Burkhead, then depth could come into play for Georgia. Another vulnerability of the Georgia defense is their inability to corral running QBs. If Martinez can consistently make plays with his feet, the Huskers can stay in this game. When Georgia has the ball, it's all about consistency. Georgia's offense was excellent at times this season but also stalled at other times. If Georgia can protect Aaron Murray and open up some holes for Gurley and Marshall, they should win this game going away.
