Game Notes: The beginning of interleague play, dont ya love it! Basically, here’s my view on interleague: it’s overdone. What I loved about baseball was that it was the only sport to stay in its respective league but the entire season, making the AL/NL World Series matchup all that special. But I’m willing to compromise. If I were Commish, I’d take two weekends in June and have interleague rivalry (or close to it) matchups. Four to five series starting in mid-May is just too much. Old friend Jon Lieber starts for Philly in the first game.
