Who Will Win It All?

I’m kind enough to post Zach’s article for him, because he’s got computer problems at home…
Believe it or not, it’s mid-May and the standings are all mixed up. You have the usually stellar Angels under Seattle in last place, with the Texas Rangers sitting pretty on top. The Jim Leyland-led Detroit Tigers…in first place?? With the best record in baseball? World Series favorite Cleveland under .500?? Getting our readers involved, how about we rank the teams in the American League from Most Likely To Win Pennant to Most Likely The Royals. Here are mine:
1. Chicago White Sox- Vasquez has proved me wrong, along with Thome
2. Boston Red Sox- Consistency in all aspects, wild card is David Wells’ effectiveness
3. New York Yankees- Can’t deny the offensive firepower, bullpen is a definite concern
4. Detroit Tigers- Hard to fully trust this team yet, could be 2006 version of Nationals
5. Toronto Blue Jays- Subs filling in well for Burnett and Chacin, still contenders
6. Oakland Athletics- Team will hit usual spurt once Harden returns from DL stint
7. Cleveland Indians- Youth and inconsistency showing, swept by Detroit at home
8. Texas Rangers- 14-13 game in the Bronx shows why Texas won’t last long
9. Minnesota Twins- Lineup looking bleak, Radke/Silva/Baker not helping cause
10. Los Angeles Angels- Members of team reserving spots at local retirement home
11. Tampa Bay Devil Rays- Scott Kazmir- AL Cy Young winner?
12. Seattle Mariners- Everything about this roster spells AVERAGE
13. Baltimore Orioles- Tejada gone by deadline, Mazzone not working usual magic
14. Kansas City Royals- On pace to finish as worst baseball team of all-time
