Game Notes: Anytime you have a 22-year old that throws a one-hitter, I don’t care if it’s the Royals, you have to be excited. Just what the doctor ordered for a bullpen that needed rest. The series ends tomorrow afternoon when Josh Beckett tries to right the ship, and I have a feeling he will (7 innings of shutout baseball is my prediction). The goal was a 7-1 or 6-2 homestand, but instead 5-3 will have to do itl. Bring out the brooms at 1.
