08/26: What a Horrible Lineup That Was PRIOR GAME AGAINST OPPONENT: Red Sox 2, Angels 1 on 8/25/06
DECISION: W: Jake Woods | L: Curt Schilling
STAR OF THE GAME: Kason Gabbard – 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K

GAME NOTES: Ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew. That lineup was atrocious, with Gabe Kapler batting sixth, Wily Mo getting injured with a sore wrist, and Mike Lowell (who has GOT to be injured to be this bad) having only one extra-base hit this month. Injuries are destroying our season. Francona said that Manny is going to try to play through the pain tomorrow, and hopefully Wily Mo can do the same as well.
People talk about how the Yankees overcome Matsui and Sheffield. That’s great, but I doubt they’ve had to deal with what we’ve had to all year long.
