GAME NOTES: If we had swept this series, we could have been 3.5 games behind the Yankees, with plenty of ball to play. Now we’re 6.5, and flailing about in the water. It’s hard to condemn this ballclub for an injury to pretty much everyone who wore the Sox jersey this year, but wow, what an aggravating season. There’s still a month to go, let’s see if we can end the season on a high note.
