The Drexel Dragons just finished a tough season that was filled with injuries.  The biggest injury came with just four games left when star player Damion Lee broke his hand and missed the rest of the season and the CAA tournament.  The Dragons limped to the end of the season losing in the first round of the CAA tournament.

Reports are coming from ESPN that Lee is going to graduate and then transfer before next season.  He will be eligible to play immediately at his new school.  The school that has been linked to Lee the most is Maryland.  Lee is a native of Baltimore and the Terps would be a natural fit.

Lee finished fourth in the nation in scoring this season with an average of 21.4 points per game.  He also averaged 6.4 rebounds per game.  He won the CAA Rookie of the Year Award in 2011-12.  The injury bug plagued his career at Drexel, besides breaking his hand this season he tore his ACL in the preseason NIT during the 2013-14 season.

Drexel has not been in the NCAA tournament since 1996 and now with the loss of Lee it is very possible Head Coach Bruiser Flint and the Dragons could miss the tournament again next year.
