My review of developmental camp

rashardback

The Flyers developmental camp was held this week. I went to the final day of camp on Sunday afternoon. The big event of Sunday was the 3on3 round robin tournament comprised of 4 teams. The teams were filled with every prospect in camp except for Tyrell Goulbourne, who was dealing with an injury.

When I went on Sunday, the 3on3 started at 4:30. The tournament had 2 rinks and a different game on each side. I was watching the 1st rink. Their was about 4 or 5 different games, 10 minute timer for each game. Depending on which team won they would move up the bracket.

Team Barber won the 3on3 tournament. The players on the team were Anthony Stolarz, Robert Hagg, Taylor Leier, Nicolas Aube-Kubel, David Drake, Radel Fazleev, and Like Philip. This team stood out against the three other teams and were crowned the round robin tournament winners at the end of the day. This tournament was a lot of fun for the prospects and also for the fans. This was a chance for the prospects to put on a show in a game like atmosphere and they sure did. The developmental camp went pretty well overall, and there were definitely some standouts. Some notable standouts in this years camp were Ivan Provorov, Travis Sanhiem and Samuel Morin. Next up, training camp, where’s few rookies will be invited from rookie camp to try to prove there skills one more time and try for a roster spot.
