Penn State preview #4: SDSU

The Nittany Lions(2-1) will welcome in the San Diego State Aztecs(1-2) on Saturday. Penn State is coming off a big win against Rutgers and look to continue their winning ways.

Overview:

The Aztecs may be 1-2, but their defense can cause problems for an unpredictable Lions’ offense. Freshmen running back Saquon Barkley exploded onto the scene last week and has shown he can be a great weapon in the offense. Hackenberg hasn’t been sacked in two weeks, but the line will have a tough task against an unorthodox defense.

Last Thoughts:

The big question is, which Penn State will show up? The Temple one? Or the Rutgers one? Nittany nation hope it’s the Rutgers one. Saquon Barkley and Akeel Lynch have asserted themselves as one of the best 1,2 punches in the nation. If Hackenberg can continue to find Hamilton and others down the field, they should be just fine. The defense has been dominant since the Temple game and Carl Nassib has really come into his own. With Brandon Bell and Grant Haley healthy, the Aztecs will have an issue moving the ball. I believe that the Lions will be 3-1 by the end of the night.
